Working for SPANISH VIRTUAL OBSERVATORY ( LAEFF )

Recents notices of SVO ( LAEFF , INTA , Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion ) , J.P.Navarro Pina is admitted to work in Spanish Virtual Observatory .

Although astronomical archives constitute basic tools for modern Astrophysics as revealed by their intensive usage, it is also true that the efficiency in the information retrieval is seriously limited by the lack of interoperability among them. The Virtual Observatory is a project designed to provide the astronomical community with the data access, research tools and systems, research support, data interoperability standards, data-flow practices and data centre coordination, necessary to enable the exploration of the digital, multi-wavelength universe resident in the astronomical data archives.

The Spanish Virtual Observatory (SVO) officially started in June 2004. Its purpose is to provide an efficient coordination among the different national initiatives in the framework of the Virtual Observatory and to achieve an effective integration of all the expertise in this research domain.

Water production rate of comet C/2010 X1 Elenin ( preliminar analysis )

I have updated and analyzed the water production rate based in work of L.Jorda et al. " Correlation between water production rate and magnitudes visuals " ( 2008 ) , the preliminary results comet C/2010 X1 Elenin :

R = 2,5 u.a.--> log [ H2O ] < 50 kgrs./seg. < 10^27,2 mol.s-1

and estimated range of water production :

15 < log Q [ H2O] < 50 kgrs./seg. 10^26,7 mol.s-1 < log Q [ H2O] < 10^27,2 mol.s-1

Analysis and complet study of comet C/2006 A1 Pojmanski

This article is publicated in the prestige revist of SOMYCE ( Sociedad de Observadores de Cometas y Meteoros de España ) , nº30 , October 2006 , 2º epoch , pags. 31-41 . A detailed analysis was carried on the last passage of the comet C/2006 A1 Pojmanski . The light visual curve is analized to obtain the dust emissions .

Study of coefficients of phase in light curves cometarys

In this work have been investigated and analyzed a total of 17 visual light curves of comets , was calculated with the average coefficient of phase for 17 differents comets , the first report of this type Meech and Jewitt ( 1987 ) obtaining coef. fase = 0.018 mag / deg , the author of this work has had difficulty in calculating this value due to the rotational amplitude of comets usually about 1.1 magnitudes (Belton 1986), this study has found a value of 0.040 mag / deg .

HCN PRODUCTION FROM PERIODICS COMETS

My next job of investigation this based in the work " HCN PRODUCTION FROM COMET HALLEY " of F.Peter Schloerb and co-authors published in The Astrophysical Journal 310 , L55-L60 , 1-November 1986 , the correlation visual magnitudes - HCN production rates , the equation : log Q ( HCN ) = 27.57 - 0.24 ( m1 - 5 log (delta)) is applied for various periodics comets in the work of J.P.Navarro Pina , more information in next publications this blog .
